Utility Cleaner Marella

The Utility Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance the galleys on a daily basis, following the cleaning guidelines setby Onboard Management.

Operational
 Handle all cleaning materials, chemicals and machinery necessary for the daily operation, in a safe and
responsible manner.
 Clean and maintain galley floors, walls, machinery and tools after every service, with emphasis on the
health and safety of all staff.
 Participate in all assigned training programs in order to develop skills with a view for future
development and potential promotion.
 Work with cleaningmachinery as assigned by the shipboard management.
 Cross train on all cleaning machinery.
 Perform all duties according to Shipsan, the European sanitation program, and the United States Public
Health rules and regulations.
 Assist with stores and provision loading as directed.
 Monitor the cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and ship property used in the
execution of duties.
 Ensure use of authorized-only chemicals
 Attend departmental meetings and trainings as instructed.
 Ensure that personal appearance, uniform and personal hygiene are in accordance with company
regulations.
 Maintain personal hygiene and appearance according to company standards:
 Shower before the commencement of each shift.
 Hair must be well-groomed and above the collar.
 Fingernails mustbe short and clean.
 Must be clean shaven at the beginning of each shift.




Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the senior management

Contract length: 8months

Salary: 629$
