The Utility Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance the galleys on a daily basis, following the cleaning guidelines setby Onboard Management.
Operational
Handle all cleaning materials, chemicals and machinery necessary for the daily operation, in a safe and
responsible manner.
Clean and maintain galley floors, walls, machinery and tools after every service, with emphasis on the
health and safety of all staff.
Participate in all assigned training programs in order to develop skills with a view for future
development and potential promotion.
Work with cleaningmachinery as assigned by the shipboard management.
Cross train on all cleaning machinery.
Perform all duties according to Shipsan, the European sanitation program, and the United States Public
Health rules and regulations.
Assist with stores and provision loading as directed.
Monitor the cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and ship property used in the
execution of duties.
Ensure use of authorized-only chemicals
Attend departmental meetings and trainings as instructed.
Ensure that personal appearance, uniform and personal hygiene are in accordance with company
regulations.
Maintain personal hygiene and appearance according to company standards:
Shower before the commencement of each shift.
Hair must be well-groomed and above the collar.
Fingernails mustbe short and clean.
Must be clean shaven at the beginning of each shift.
