Scout AIDA

The Scout makes sure that shore excursions including sales and administrative work are conducted professionally based on the shore operations concept and helps generate maximum sales revenue in the shore operations department while providing the highest possible guest satisfaction and safety.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

1. The Scout must always ensure his/her personal service capability, especially with respect to his/her health and knowledge of important information about the destinations

2. This person is responsible for the welfare and safety of guests during the tours

3. Sales strength, service and customer-focused

4. This person works independently on performing the tasks

5.  Inform and advise guests about excursions as well as reserve and sell excursions

6.  Professionally handle and guide excursions including prep and follow-up work for excursions

7. Destination knowledge

8. Help other teams in the "Shore Operations" department and other departments on board

9. Conduct a wide range of administrative tasks as required, such as writing excursion reports, filing tickets

10.  Purchase materials and conduct physical inventory

11. Update information boards and folders

12. Prepare and conduct informational events, excursion presentations, make announcements, etc.  

13. Generate reports 

14. Conduct quality control on excursions




Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  • completed training and/or studies, preferably in tourism, the hotel industry, etc.
  • ideally at least 2 years of work experience as well as experience abroad Sales experience and group interaction experience
  • ideally at least 2 years of work experience as well as experience abroad
  • sales experience and group interaction experience
  • 2 foreign languages preferred (German is a must)

Contract length: 6 months
