Retail Sales Consultants with C1D visas - Harding Retail

We are offering a full time, permanent  position as a Retail Sales Consultant based on board  a Cruise  Ship.

 

The position is based on continuous contracts of 6 months, with a one month break in between  each.

 

During  these 6 months you will be based permanently on board the ship and will work every day. You could  work up to 14 hours per day. All working hours are in line with MLC regulations.

 

When the ship is in port, the shops  will be closed so you will have some free time to explore  the ports if you wish. There will be occasional in port duties such as deliveries and stock takes which  you will be required  to undertake.

 

There will also be additional safety duties, such as safety drills and training which you may be required to carry out on top of you standard duties.

 

You will share a cabin with someone  of the same sex and who works in the same department.

 

Whilst on board  your accommodation, food  and uniform is paid for by us.

 

The base salary is $600 USD per month. There is the opportunity to earn commission. Commission is based  on the team's target. This will be distributed amongst  the team if the target is reached. On target earnings are $900 USD per month.

 

Progression  opportunities- We pride ourselves  on offering excellent  training  and progression. There is the opportunity to develop into a product specialist in Fine Jewellery, Watches, Cosmetics or Fragrances. We do offer in house training  for this. We also have an excellent  assistant  managers training program.

Medical Insurance

If you require medical  care while you are on-board this will be provided free of charge, including access to necessary  medicines, medical  equipment  and facilities for diagnosis and treatment  and medical information and expertise.

 

Where necessary, you will be given leave to visit a qualified medical  doctor or dentists in ports  of call or repatriated to your home country  for the purpose  of obtaining treatment.

 

Please note that  this provision  is subject  to you satisfying  the insurer's  terms and conditions.

 

 

 

Flights

 

Should you need to embark on a ship outside  of your home country  we will pay the equivalent  cost of a flight  from London to the ship. We will pay for the flight costs up front and any outstanding amount owed by you will be taken from your pay cheque.

 

 

 

 

Documents  Required

 

C1 D Visa -It will be up to you to obtain  your C1D  Visa, however, we will provide a support  letter. You will need to cover the cost of your Visa. Once  you board  the ship please send us your receipt  and we will refund the amount  paid.

 

MCV  Australian Visa- This Visa is free and it will be up to you to obtain this.

 

Medical Certificate- You will be responsible for obtaining your own MLC compliant medical certificate. You will pay initially for this medical  and any cost over £80 will be refunded by us once you board  your ship.

 

References- We require 2 professional references from previous  employers.

 

Induction  and Training

 

Once  you have obtained all of your documentation we will send you our overseas Induction Pack and Product Knowledge Pack. This includes  detailed  information about  our company, customer  service training, sales skills, products, brands, customers  and policies.

 

Once  you begin on board  you will start the 'Welcome on Board' Program with your manager to help to adjust to your new life at sea.




Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  • minimum of two years in retail
  • preferably experience selling luxury goods or airport duty free experience
  • EU passports only
  • Excellent English

Contract length: 6 months on / 2 months off

Salary: 225$ per week + commision of sales
