Maintaining personal quality checks in his / her department to ensure the required guest satisfaction
Correct forwarding and filing of all orders of the hotel department in cooperation with the Hotel Manager
Enforcing hygiene and impeccable cleanliness in his / her department and the pre-specified appearance in his / her area
Organizing and conducting a smooth check-in and check-out of guests
Tracing of passenger’s requests at the reception
Providing courteous and friendly passenger service at the reception
Assisting with the delivery of goods according to instruction of the superior
Ensuring the careful and proper handling of all working materials and equipment (especially IT equipment)

Strategy and planning
Jointly responsible for:
1. Providing the best possible running of the operational organization at the reception and shop
2. Establishing standard & quality assurance for the concept of hygiene to comply with the hygiene regulations (HACCP)
Leadership and coordination
Jointly responsible for:
3. Assuring professional cooperation between all departments on the vessel
4. Coordinating and controlling of the own working schedule
5. Strictly observing and controlling of the predefined working hours

16. Gathering and analyzing inventories as per instruction
17. Ensuring the smooth running of the cashless system (Resco)
18. Conducting and controlling of the accounting of each outlet (Z / ZZ closing)
19. Preparing the Night Auditor report and administrative work according instructions of the head office Basel
Communication and representation
Jointly responsible for:
20. Taking over incoming mail and distribute correctly. Immediate sending of outgoing mail
21. Ensuring conformity of predefined appearance / uniformity requirements and proper body care
22. Immediate reporting of special incidents to the 1. Receptionist, depending on importance also to the Hotel Manager
23. Attending all official events on board according to the instructions of the superior
24. Ensuring compliance with the active and passive information flows in accordance with the organigram
25. Coordinating proper information flow on board
Control and reporting
Jointly responsible for:
26. Controlling of the costs and adherence to the budget
Special tasks
Jointly responsible for:
27. Participating in the crew show (if crew show is foreseen)
28. Maintaining active support in all areas according to the instructions of the superior
29. Participating in regularly trainings
30. Participating in the reception meetings according to the instructions of the 1. Receptionist

31. Coordinating punctual and correct creation of menus (printed on board)
32. Assisting with waste disposal and crew mess cleaning according to the instructions of the superior
33. Assisting with luggage handling at check-in and check-out according to the instructions of the superior

Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  • 2 years

Contract length: Seasonal
