Guest Services Assistant Telecommunications Jumeirah Group

An opportunity has arisen for a Guest Services Assistant to join Telecommunications department in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Answer incoming calls from external lines and internal extensions; connect the calls to the right extension/guest rooms as requested in prompt and professional manner.
Record wake up calls as requested by the guests, feed the wake up calls in the system and ensure the wake calls have been given by the system on time.
Give manual reminder wakeup call within five minutes of the system wake up call to ensure the guest is awake.
Follow up on the unanswered wake up calls; refer to the Concierge and Duty Manager and ensure the room is checked and wakeup call is given.
Handle guest faxes when the business center is closed during night.
Handle guest and admin messages
Handle telephone call requests from in-house and non-resident guests using house phones and ensure the call has been charged correctly as per the current telephone tariff.
Answer emergency calls and follow the departmental emergency procedures.
Answer general guest enquiries about the hotel and facilities, daily events and functions taking place.

Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  • Previous experience in a five star hotel as Telephone Operator, cross trainee in telephones or similar role in hospitality environment.
  • Should have secondary school certificate or diploma/degree in Hospitality Management
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office applications
  • Additional language is an added value

Contract length: 24 months

Salary: 1,900 AED
