Maintains an assigned section as allocated. Ensuring linen Lockers and Pantries are cleaned and stocked

Business Acumen

 

* This position is responsible for cost containment through the proper use, handling and maintenance and distribution chemicals, supplies, equipment, stateroom amenities and consumable items.

* Conducts workstation spot checks to ensure items are correctly stored to minimize deterioration and waste. 

* Responsible for  picking up the stores, chemicals, organizing and cleaning linen lockers and chemical lockers

* Replenish Stateroom Attendants lockers with the amenities, including Aqua class water.

* Assisting in the linen room during stock takes and any other time, as operationally required.

* Duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with ISM/ISO and SQM standards, USPH guidelines, Environmental, and Safety policies.


* Linen runner is responsible for towel collection for his sections, replenishing lockers, before service starts at 8am and 6pm.

* Responsible for the  Pantry/Ice stations cleaning, organizing and upkeep, updating of logs in accordance with USPH regulation

* Cleaning and maintaining of assigned sections crew area landings, daily cleaning and upkeep

* Collecting dirty linen and transport to the laundry, in accordance with SQM and USPH standards.

* Each housekeeping shipboard employee reports to their workstation assignment on time and properly groomed and dressed according to standards.  This includes a clean uniform, nametag, and any other uniform related items

* Each shipboard employee may be required to perform all functions in various service venues and throughout the ship.

* It is every employee’s responsibility to conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and Crewmember areas.
 




Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  • • Minimum one to two years previous cleaning experience in an upscale hotel, resort or cruise line (shipboard experience preferred)
  • • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment
  • • Knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • • Ability to apply customer service skills, according to Company policy, when interacting with guests and coworkers
  • • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred

Contract length: 34 weeks on / up to 60 days off
