Assistant Beverage Operations Manager Carnival Cruise Line

·         To assist Beverage Ops Manager in overall bar operation, planning, organizing and executing tasks in accordance with company policies and standards.

·         To supervise bar staff and ensure that quality product and high standards service is provided.

·         To ensure that company standards and procedures are followed in the bar operations.

·         To ensure that all bar staff report well-groomed, in clean and appropriate uniforms, on time as per the prepared schedules and that all pre-opening procedures are followed.

·         During service to ensure that bar staff is knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials and activities, courteous to guests, and are following correct S&S procedures, drinks are prepared by the recipes in correct glasses, garnishes, checking ID's, etc.

·         To ensure all private parties are set up as per the company's standards 15 minutes prior to opening.

·         To work closely with bartenders and all staff in ensuring that all bars are stocked as per their par stocks, communicating shortages to all in a timely manner and to ensure that all drinks are mixed as per the company specs.

·         To ensure that weekly inventories of all bars and soda machines are conducted correctly.

·         To have knowledge of the bar cost and bar supplies cost and ensure budgets are well maintained. To ensure all bars are well stocked and par levels are maintained with products and supplies.

·         Maximize revenue and minimize wastage.

·         To perform all employee-related duties such as training, performance appraisals, etc.

·         To regularly check on the crew lounge and assist in all crew-related activities etc.

·         Responsible for maintaining bar costs and verifying bar requisitions.

·         Ensure that all checks of special functions and related paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.

·         Scrutinize the bar area to ensure all furniture, equipment and lights and sound systems are in good condition. 

·         Ensure that music and lights in lounge and public areas are adjusted to establish levels.

·         To ensure that all employees are aware of how to operate the FSS sales system.

·         Along with Beverage Ops Manager, responsible for bar quality, service and costs.

·         Will be responsible for the below mentioned tasks:

a) To correctly input the entire night report and forward to BOM, copy Sr. BOM and HD on a daily basis, and/if any entertainment issues, copy Cruise Director.

b) Spoilage form to be prepared by ABOM and approved by BOM.

c) Safety Drill Exemption list.

d) Sign on “On the Job” paper work.

e) ABOM will conduct evaluations for Bar Waiters, Bar Waitresses, Bar Stewards

·         To perform other duties as may be necessary and directed by Management.




Minimum experience and qualification requirements for position:
  •  with 2+ years of experience as a manager or supervisor in a beverage operation.
  • A Beverage Operation includes, Restaurants, Nightclubs or Bars. High volume is preferred.
  •  preferably hold a degree, equivalency, or have vast overall beverage knowledge
  •  have hands-on operational experience including a proven track record in managing a team of employees.
  •  Previous ship experience or multi-outlet experience is preferred.

Contract length: 6 months on /2 months off

Salary: 2300$
